|A Largs morning|
Hard work sailing against the wind to round Cumbrae island with much tacking involved
This picture shows us zipping along towards Cumbrae.
Mind you I still managed to pose for this shot as we went along.
It was along haul to Portavadie, and the sea was still quite rough from the wind the day before and cold. Hilary did not enjoy the rolling motion as we crossed the swell coming up the Clyde but she bore it stoically if a little tight lipped. I don't think it was a good idea to go below to make tea when she did - ('thinks' I must remember that)
We were glad to turn the last corner and leave Sgat Mor behind.
Past the fish farm
Then settle in to the marina for the night. Lots of hot food and tea. Shorter trip tomorrow to Ardrishaig and the start of the Crinan Canal.
