Now lying in the canal basin at Corpach.
It was an 'interesting' motor up Loch Linnhe, I got the tide right so my timings were spot on but I didn't take into account the wind blowing down the loch against the tide. The result was some very big swells. Nearly decided to turn and run back to Oban but in the end we stuck it out, and I am glad we did, as the water calmed as the tide turned and the last third of the journey was bliss. We left Dunstaffnage at 0600 hrs and arrived at Corpach at 1310 hrs close to the seven hours I had planned. The engine ran sweetly all that time!
I still can't work out how much fuel it uses. As far as I can see very little.
We had wall to wall sunshine all day and Ben Nevis looks magnificent, just to assure all you people who have visited Fort William in the last few years and had the mountain wreathed in cloud.
Still no full wifi so I'll save pictures 'til later.
On up the Caledonian Canal tomorrow with Sheila and Andrew walking alongside (their holiday) and the weather looks pretty good.
